Lead Generation Specialist, Korea

Position Summary:

The Lead Generation Specialist is primarily responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating new sales leads to support the sales team in the Asia Pacific Japan region.

A successful Lead Generation Specialist will be highly motivated and will do what it takes to drive results, identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources, including website research, cold calling, networking, and creative discovery and research. The job involves qualifying potential prospects and initiating interest and engagement in these leads. Calling and emailing potential leads involves approximately 50% of the time; accurate account documentation and maintenance involves approximately 20% of the time; account research and prospecting involves approximately 20% of the time; meetings, administrative support, and development involves approximately 10% of the time. The position is an internal position and requires minimal travel.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

-      Monitor and meet service level agreements for the Lead to Order process

-      Conduct weekly LTO reviews with sales

-      Conduct targeted prospecting campaigns

-      Develop new business via telephone and mass communication such as e-mail and social media

-      Follow up on communication (e-mails and phone calls) and conduct research to identify potential prospects

-      Review grant abstracts, creating and updating business prospects, linking leads to grants, as well as updating grant information

-      Identify and research target accounts via mapping and list building

-      Enhance and maintain accurate data and record keeping in the CRM

-      Participate in complex, team selling efforts (with internal and external partners)

-      Prospect beyond basic qualifications and develop and deploy unique execution strategies

-      Qualify leads and sales

-      Work directly with sales and marketing to drive revenue 

All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilities.

Preferred Education:

-      Must have a B.A. or B.S., preferably in a Science related field.

-      Background must include at least 2 years of sales or customer facing experience.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

-      2+ years of sales or customer facing experience with the ability to develop an understanding of Illumina’s technology, products and markets.

-      Experience in tele-prospecting, building a leads data base and supporting sales is an advantage.

-      Highly competent at understanding and following complex processes

-      Detail orientated with a proven ability at managing data accuracy and enrichment

-      Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

-      Professional and friendly phone persona with strong persuasion skills

-      Work in multidisciplinary teams with the ability to lead through influence

-      Self motivated, with a can do attitude
