DHP’s health care start-up spreading and fostering strategy

This is the reason why in 2016,Yunseop Choi, the CEO of DHP, established DHP, a professional digital healthcare startup accelerator. With the goal of “discovering and nurturing innovative healthcare startups”, DHP has partnered with experts who can directly help start-ups, including digital healthcare professionals, medical practitioners, regulators, designers, and jurists.

DHP has invested in total eight companies, one in 2016, two in 2017, and five in 2018. DHP provides in-depth mentoring and advice to entrepreneurs from the stage of incorporation, and seeks to grow together with its client entrepreneurs.

At the beginning of each month, DHP organizes an ‘office hour’ event that invites companies to discover DHP, and to introduce themselves. When the company introduces its technology, various stakeholders in the medical ecosystem, such as regulators, venture investors, legal and medical practitioners, provide advice on the company’s development direction and strategies.

“The Office Hour is an intensive demonstration of the strengths of DHP”, CEO Choi said. “Every month, we invite two or three early entrepreneurs to introduce the company to them, and offer free advice. This event sometimes even leads to investment.”...
