■ Abstract

As ALS programs mature, many teams need earlier, more sensitive readouts of neuromuscular dysfunction than behavioral scoring or endpoint histology alone. Electrophysiology endpoints—CMAP, MUNE, and repeated stimulation—provide direct, functional insight into motor neuron health and neuromuscular junction integrity in SOD1 ALS models.

Join us on February 11, 2026 at 15:00 CET | 9:00 AM EST for a joint webinar with Scantox Neuro and iWorx Systems, featuring Aaron Fantina-Woblistin, R&D Officer at Scantox Neuro, and Michelle Gibson, Research Applications Specialist at iWorx, followed by a Q&A session

■ Agenda

“Action Potentials in Neuromuscular Disease Models: Translational Electrophysiology”
will explore:

✔️ Why CMAP, MUNE, and repeated stimulation are decision-enabling functional readouts in SOD1 ALS models.

✔️ A longitudinal B6.SOD1-G93A mouse case study (e.g., 8, 14, 20 weeks) showing how these endpoints track progression vs. wild-type controls.

✔️ Practical implementation: sciatic nerve–gastrocnemius setup, stimulation/recording configuration, and analysis using the iWorx CMAP system and LabScribe (waveform amplitude, latencies, rise time,
duration, dV/dt).

✔️ How to integrate electrophysiology endpoints into ALS and neuromuscular efficacy pipelines—study design, data quality, and interpretation.

Join us to see how translational electrophysiology can strengthen longitudinal efficacy readouts and improve confidence in go/no-go decisions for neuromuscular programs.
